Let Them Have Dominion Book Club

I lead a truly fun book club to discuss the Skip Moen's excellent book on the Genesis account as it relates to women. The book is called Guardian Angel and you can purchase it at his web site, skipmoen.com.

We have been meeting for well over a year, but there is so much richness in the book about the Hebrew language, the ezer kenegdo, and much that is beyond the purview of gender discussion. It's an excellent source for anyone wanting a deeper understanding of Genesis.

We meet on the 4th Saturday each month at noon at various locations. If you want to join us, the best way to keep up with our location is to follow the event on the Let Them Have Dominion Facebook Page.

Healing Retreat

Space is limited for this one-day retreat focused on healing through prayer.

This is NOT an open meeting, you must reserve a space in advance by requesting an invitation. You can find the form to request an invitation here.

The retreat format includes a small group setting in which individuals are ministered to by a prayer minister with the support of intercessors. There may also be times of group spiritual direction as we sense the leading of the Lord for each person who receives healing prayer ministry. We will have time for breaks, reflection, sharing, a meal and communion. The retreat is open to both men and women, and prayer needs are not limited to physical healing but for any of the ways God is desiring to heal us: emotional, physical and spiritual. We look forward to experiencing the healing presence of Jesus during our day together.

What Is Christian Healing?

(from Tilda Norberg in her book Stretch Out Your Hand)

Christian healing is a process that involves the totality of our being - body, mind, emotion and spirit - and that directs us toward becoming the person God is calling us to be at every stage of our living and our dying. Whenever we are truly open to God, some kind of healing takes place, because God yearns to bring us to wholeness. Through prayer and the laying on of hands, through confession, anointing, communion and other means of grace, Jesus meets us in our brokenness and pain and there loves, transforms, forgives, redeems resurrects and heals. Jesus does this in God's way, in God's time, and according to God's loving purpose for each person.
